Abstract

 The study is a glance of the research performance of LIS faculties from the Central Universities of India through the Scopus database. The study retrieved 53 LIS faculties from 15 Central Universities of India with 274 publications and 1091 citations to the publications. The University of Delhi was the most productive in terms of LIS publications and citations. Madhusudhan M was found as the top contributor amongst the LIS faculty in terms of publications & citations. The highest h-index was found for Mukherjee B while M Madhusudhan has the highest g-index. The highest co-authorship pattern found between Mukherjee B & Nazim M. The study observed a strong degree of collaboration among LIS authors due to prevalent multiple authorship patterns.
